Christmas in Kamloops

January 7, 2014

No further house updates. December was brutally cold and nothing has been accomplished on the house since November. Hopefully the weather will break soon and Ken can start working on putting in the insulation.

Ken spent December keeping warm and working on Christmas projects.

Dec 2013_Breakfast Tray for Justin

Justin was my homemade gift recipient. I made a batch of Cinnamon Granola, a batch of Peanut Butter Granola and included the fixings for Chocolate Chia Pudding. Ken made the breakfast tray. I love the copper handles and the dark chocolate paint job. (its sitting on a TV tray so in the picture it looks like it has legs, but it doesn’t)

Dec 2013_Breakfast Tray for Kelsey

Ken’s homemade gift recipient was Kelsey. What he really wanted to make her was a bookshelf but had to settle for a tray as it made more sense for transporting to Kamloops. Kelsey’s tray was made out of hardwood.

Jan 7 2013_meditation chair without cushions

Ken made me a wonderful meditation chair patterned after the Zen Meditation Chairs. We still have to add the backrest and cushion but it is super comfortable. The seat slopes slightly forward and the backrest will provide lumbar support. I will post a picture once we complete it.

We spent a wonderful week in Kamloops for Christmas. Hanna and Sox spent the week at the farm with my sister Sheryl and dog Kensi.

Wishing you all health and happiness for 2014.
