Lake Side Deck

May 8, 2016

Happy Mother’s Day. Today my daughter Kelsey celebrated her first Mother’s Day with little Jacob. And my daughter-in-law Emily celebrated Almost Mother’s Day. (They are expecting in about 5 weeks.) And my mother had a heavenly Mother’s Day.

For Mother’s Day this year, I got a deck! How wonderful is that! Thanks to Ken C. who came down for four days to help out. Today they completed the deck on the lake side of the house. The finishing around the deck, stairs, trim, etc still has to be completed but I am pretty impressed with what they accomplished in 4 days.

Day 1 they got the framing done for the small deck in front of the kitchen started

Day 2 they got the framing all done for both the small deck and the large deck (12 feet by 20 feet) in front of the living room.
